Norah McIntyre Reserve, Altona
Located in Altona, The Norah McIntyre Reserve is a public park with a pathway running through it. Recently it has gone through a major upgrade and needed a lighting solution to showcase the latest developments. The Hobsons Bay City Council were looking to illuminate the path in accordance with Australian Standards requirements, with special consideration taken to ensure no spill or obtrusive light was thrown onto the adjoining tennis courts, children’s playground area or the neighbouring properties. In collaboration with leading lighting designer Simon Gullifer, Lighting and Electrical Distributors were excited to be selected as the preferred supplier in this high-profile project. The Ligman Linear PT 7 was chosen as the most suitable fitting to achieve Councils brief. Using Ligman’s unique MicroVos lens technology, a type 2 sideways distribution ensured the light was thrown exactly where it was needed along the path and any unwanted spill light was kept to a minimum.
